Trinitys Sister Dorothy Jayne Krupp retires
For nearly five years Trinity Hospital Twin City and its staff, patients and community have been blessed by the ministry efforts of Sister Dorothy Jayne Krupp, OSF, THTC director of Mission Integration & Spiritual Care. Krupp has not only comforted many people through prayers and hospital visits, she also has led hospital staff in numerous collections of food, toys and personal-care items to help community members in need.
With the blessing of her religious community, The Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio, Krupp officially retired from her hospital position, and she will move to Sylvania near the Motherhouse Campus to do volunteer ministry work with her fellow sisters.
Im grateful for the opportunity to minister in this community, and Im praying that the good people of Trinity Hospital Twin City will continue to fulfill the healing mission of Jesus through the values of reverence, integrity, compassion and excellence, Krupp said.
Words cant express how much we appreciate the many contributions Sister Dorothy has made at our hospital. She has made an impression not only on our patients and employees, but on our community, said Tiffany Poland, THTC director of Community Outreach. We wish Sister Dorothy all the best during her retirement and will continue to honor her each and every day as we live our mission and our values, extending the healing ministry of Jesus to everyone we touch.
THTCs Community Outreach Department invites anyone from the community who would like to wish Krupp well in retirement to participate in a card shower. No gifts are to be given, but cards may be sent to the following address by Friday, July 8: Sister Dorothy, c/o THTC Community Outreach, 819 N. First St., Dennison, Ohio 44621.
Prior to retirement Krupp worked to assure a smooth transition for her successor, Sister Nancy Ferguson, OSF, who will now oversee mission integration at Trinity Hospital Twin City. Ferguson also works with Trinity Health System at Steubenville, where she has led their mission integration activities.
