WCPL Shreve branch offering programs in November
The Shreve branch of the Wayne County Public Library, located at 189 W. McConkey St., will offer programs for all ages in November.
Make it, take it crafts will take place Wednesday, Nov. 8 for children of all ages.
National Novel Writing Month for teens will beTuesdays, Nov. 7, 14 and 28 from 4-5:30 p.m. Join Hannah for the chance to write a 50,000-word novel in the month of November. Sessions will include writing time, snacks and camaraderie with fellow writers. Registration for age 13-18 is required.
Fall Recipe Exchange for adults age 18 and up will be Thursday, Nov. 9 from 4-7:30 p.m. Exchange your favorite fall or family recipes with friends at the library.
Veterans Day Pennants for adults age 18 and up will be Saturday, Nov. 11 from noon to 1:30 p.m. Paint a patriotic pennant to celebrate Veterans Day at the library. Registration is required.
Crafting at Home for adults age 18 and up will take place Nov. 15. Take home a kit and make a simple craft. Kits will include supplies and instructions with one kit per adult. Kits are available beginning the first of each month on a first come, first served basis.
Play-Doh Playday at the Library for children age 0-17 and their caregivers will be Friday, Nov. 17 from 1-3 p.m. Play-Doh and other supplies will be provided. Caretakers must stay with children.
Cool Custom Cups will be Wednesday, Nov. 22 from 1-3 p.m. Amber will demonstrate how to decorate a custom cup with vinyl decals. Supplies will be furnished. Registration is required for age 8-12.
Paws to Read for children age 0-12 will be Nov. 29 from 3:30-5 p.m. Come read to therapy dog Rosie Cotton.
Junior Bookworm Book Club will meet Wednesdays from 3:15-4 p.m. Each session will include an activity or a craft. Registration for second grade through fourth grade is required. The Nov. 29 meeting will discuss “Klawde: Evil Alien Warlord Cat” by Johnny Marciano and Emily Chenoweth.
