The third annual Winter Wonderland Drive-Through Light Show will feature more lights, more color and more animation.

Winter Wonderland will be available for visitors Dec. 10 through Jan. 4 from 5:30-10 p.m. on the campus of Walnut Hills Retirement Community in Walnut Creek.

The event is free, a gift to the community from Walnut Hills and several sponsors.

“We are looking forward to showcasing our beautiful campus and sharing a bigger and brighter Winter Wonderland drive-thru this year, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors,” said Paula Miller, community relations director. “This year’s drive-thru features more lights, and we have added more color and several animated displays to brighten the lives of everyone who visits Winter Wonderland.”

The Winter Wonderland drive-thru starts at the Walnut Hills Assisted Living building, 4770 Olde Pump St. The route will travel around the assisted living and nursing home before meandering through The Meadows, one of the Walnut Hills Independent Living communities. Yard signs will direct visitors along the route.

“This year we coordinated several themed areas including a ‘Let It Snow’ display and a fun Kids Corner,” Miller said. “We also highlight the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ at our ‘Hope is Born’ display and in other areas along the route.”

Several businesses, organizations and sponsors have come together to create the Winter Wonderland light displays for families.

“Walnut Hills is hosting the event, but it is truly a community event,” Miller said. “We are very thankful for the businesses and organizations who are partnering with us to make the Winter Wonderland light displays come to life and to help create special holiday memories for families.”

Light displays are being created by Coblentz Chocolates, Garaway High School, Holmes County Chamber of Commerce, Traditions Health Hospice and Walnut Hills Independent Living residents.

Other sponsors for the event include Absolute Pharmacy, Carlisle Gifts, Carlisle Inn, Commercial and Savings Bank, Der Dutchman Restaurant, Elite Flooring and Tile, HTS Therapy, Kauffman Lawn Furniture, Pedro Guzman/Kaufman Realty, Millersburg Electric, Pomerene Hospital, ProVia, Rebecca’s Bistro, Smith-Varns Funeral Home, and WKLM Radio.
