SUMMARY: Sheriff seeking white male suspect who was armed with handgun Investigation is ongoing by Holmes County Sheriff’s deputies into a Nashville armed robbery that occurred the evening of Saturday, Oct. 22. Sheriff Tim Zimmerly said Monday his office is currently following up on the robbery of the Buckeye Deli in Nashville. “We’re still working the case,” Zimmerly said. The robbery occurred at approximately 9:50 p.m. when a male suspect carrying a revolver entered the deli and demanded cash. According to sheriff’s reports, the suspect was given money from the cash register and he ran out the door. The suspect is described as a white male standing 5’4 to 5’5 in height, with a thin build, blue eyes, blond hair, and appeared to be clean shaven. The suspect was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black shorts, black socks and white tennis shoes. His face was partially concealed with a blue bandanna. The handgun was described as a short barreled revolver with a black finish. It is not known what direction the suspect fled after leaving the deli or whether he fled in a vehicle or on foot. No one was injured in the robbery and no patrons were inside the deli when the robbery occurred. Anyone with information is asked to call the Holmes County Sheriff’s office at 330-674-1936.
