SUMMARY: Warrant issued May 3 after she missed court date
An Orrville woman found dead Thursday May 6 at her McGill Street residence missed a court appearance in Wayne County Probate Court Monday May 3.
The death of Jamie Angela Hout, 27, 520 McGill Street, is being investigated as murder by Orrville Police as the result of outward visible injuries. A neighbor contacted police at 7:17 p.m. Thursday and Houts body was found inside the residence.
A warrant was issued for Hout May 3 by Probate Magistrate Roger W. Kienzle after she failed to appear for a court hearing with Wayne County Childrens Services Enforcement Agency. On the court documents, Hout uses the name Jamie Leigh Hout-Martinez, which Orrville Police Chief Dino Carozza confirmed as an alias.
Carozza said a time of death has not been confirmed. As of 11:10 a.m., Friday May 6 the scene was still being processed and Houts body had not been removed.
Carozza said he does not know why Hout used the alias. Carozza said friends and family are currently being interviewed and officers hope to identify a suspect soon.
We are talking with friends and family so that we can get to the point of identifying the suspect or suspects who did this, Carozza said.
Orrville Police are being assisted in the investigation by the Wayne County Coroners office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification.
