Summary: Cars and cash aren’t the only big prizes available to win at the iGive FOUNDATION’s first Big Money Bonanza to be held October 8 at The Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds from noon-5:30. Prizes will be awarded every five minutes with all proceeds from the event staying in Tuscarawas County to assist Cancer patients, students seeking educational assistance and non-profit organizations. The iGive FOUNDATION is a non-profit organization created with the vision of becoming one of Tuscarawas County's largest gift aid benefactors. The newly formed organization is made up of Kathy Brindley of Dennison who serves as director, Trisha Addison of Uhrichsville and Chris Mascotti-Rasor of Dalton. “When we formed the organization, our hearts were in different places,” said Brindley. “We would like to take the proceeds we earn and use them for Cancer treatment assistance, educational assistance and non-profit awards to residents and organizations in Tuscarawas County.” The iGive FOUNDATION will host Big Money Bonanza on October 8 from noon-5:30 at The Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds. Tickets are $100 each and allow the purchaser the opportunity to win prizes totaling $527,000! Prizes include cars, motorcycles and cash. Cash prizes vary from $500-$50,000. Taxes, titles and transfers for prizes won will be paid by the foundation. A complete list of prizes can be seen at the foundation’s web site at http://www.igivefoundation.org/#!__prizes. The event consists of a raffle drawing every five minutes throughout the day. Complimentary food will be available and a beverage garden will be open. Side raffles conducted throughout the day will award prizes that include an ATV, boat, camper and more. A huge 50/50 drawing will also take place. “When we describe the list of prizes we expect people to simply want to purchase a ticket because of the opportunity to win. We have been surprised at how unselfish people have been. They want to know where their money goes and who it will help,” said Brindley. “For some college is just a dream. We want to be able to financially assist those most worthy of assistance. Cancer patients are faced with enough worries. Their illness shouldn’t be more of a burden so we want to help them. We can help non-profit organization, those that help others. We want to spread the wealth,” said Brindley. Guests can attend the event if accompanied by a valid ticket holder. The fee for guests is $25 and can be paid at the door. No one under the age of 18 may purchase tickets or enter the raffle event. Winners need not be present to win. Participants can win more than once. It is the goal of the foundation to sell 7,500-10,000 tickets. All the money raised during the event will help those living in Tuscarawas County.
