Aultman Orrville Hospital is offering two training sessions to equip older children and teens with skills to stay safe while at home.

The Safe at Home course for students in fourth grade through sixth grade will be held Saturday, March 1 from 9-10:30 a.m., and the Safe Sitter with CPR training course for students in sixth grade through eighth grade will be held Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Safe at Home training helps prepare students to be home alone and includes education on preventing unsafe situations and what to do when faced with dangers such as inclement weather or power outages. The Safe Sitter course uses games and role-playing exercises to ready students to watch younger siblings or babysit.

The cost is $20 for Safe at Home and $55 for Safe Sitter. Advanced registration is required, and space is limited. For more information or to register, call or email Denise Kelley at 330-684-4700 ext. 47137 or denise.kelley@aultman.com.
