The Wayne County Health Department is reminding parents that Ohio requires children to be properly immunized for entrance into kindergarten, grade 7 and grade 12.

Vaccines are offered during walk-in clinic hours at the health department; at the Orrville, Mt. Eaton and Kidron outreach clinics; and at the back-to-school clinic.

A child may be brought to any clinic location regardless of home address. A shot record must accompany each child, and children under 18 years of age must be brought by a parent, legal custodian or person authorized to bring the child for vaccines.

The clinics accept many private insurance cards and Medicaid cards. For those without insurance, a donation of $10 per dose is accepted. No one will be refused services due to inability to pay.

Wayne County Health Department, 203 S. Walnut St., Wooster, is open for vaccines Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9-10 a.m. and 1-4 p.m.

Mt. Eaton Care Center, 9176 Winesburg Road, Mt. Eaton, is open for vaccines the first Friday each month from 9-11:30 a.m.

Christ Church United Church of Christ, 301 N. Main St., Orrville, is open for vaccines the second Tuesday each month from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Kidron Mennonite Church, 3987 Kidron Road, Kidron, is open for vaccines the third Tuesday each month from 9-11:30 a.m.

Back-to-school clinics at the Wayne County Schools Career Center will be Saturday, July 28 in the administration building, 518 W. Prospect St., Smithville, from 8 a.m. to noon.

For information call the health department at 330-264-9590.
