Educational session to focus on preparing and managing finances
Managing personal finances can be an overwhelming task for anyone. But for individuals 55 and older, there is a whole new batch of questions to address. What decisions can I still make? How do I tackle the challenges of the market? What opportunities can I take to make a difference?
These and other questions will be addressed by Jim Frado, ChFC, CLU, at the third and final session of a three-part educational series for adults who are 55 and over. The series is being sponsored by Walnut Hills Retirement Community of Walnut Creek.
Frado, who is a chartered financial consultant, will present Preparing and Managing Finances on Thursday, Oct. 15, at the Carlisle Inn of Sugarcreek. The program will begin at 7 p.m.
Frado serves as the managing director for Mennonite Mutual Aid in Northeast Ohio. In that capacity, he manages a team of financial professionals who specialize in financial planning, investments, insurance, banking services, and stewardship education.
In addition to his work with individual and corporate clients, he has helped develop several comprehensive financial service organizations. He is a graduate of Ashland Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity degree. He is an ordained minister and has served as a pastor in the Brethren Church.
Also at the Oct. 15 session, Jeremy Kauffman, administrator at Walnut Hills, will help attendees solve the Medicare maze with a question and answer session.
The session is free, and refreshments will be provided. For more information, contact Jocelyn Hamsher at 330-893-3200, ext. 353 or e-mail JHamsher@WalnutHillsLiving.com.
