Pomerene Hospital has announced its Gastroenterology Services and Dr. Vivian N. Chidi, gastroenterology specialist, to the Holmes County area.
Chidi manages adult patients with diseases and conditions affecting the GI tract and liver requiring both medical and endoscopic or nonsurgical therapeutic interventions. Her services and specialties include inflammatory bowel disease, IBS, cancerous and precancerous polyps and lesions, GERD, acute and nonviral hepatitis chronic liver disease and more.
Chidi received her M.D. from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and completed her internal medicine residency at UPMC Presbyterian-Montefiore in Pittsburgh. She completed her gastroenterology fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is currently completing her second advanced gastroenterology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.
I am excited about this new endeavor in Holmes County and am looking forward to being introduced and getting to know the people in this community, Chidi said.
Her extensive medical training and experience have always been motivated by a desire to give back to the community and to provide the best care possible.
