The board of trustees, the staff and guests of the Friends of the Homeless of Tuscarawas County want to give a great big “thank you” to the people of Tuscarawas County and The Bargain Hunter for your support during the holiday season. Due to the wonderful articles Jennifer Kneuss wrote, there was a wonderful outpouring of money, Christmas gifts for the guests, clothing, household supplies and food donations. Our financial crisis has been averted, and we were overwhelmed by the Christmas gifts. We have been truly blessed by this community once again. You may have heard we recently went through a reorganization. Just so you know, we have our staff back to full strength now after layoffs in November. We have a new organizational structure with three co-directors to handle the many tasks and ministries of the Friends of the Homeless. We look forward to continuing to work with the poor and homeless of Tuscarawas County, and we are proud to be part of such a generous community. We especially need your prayer support. We can always use money, paper products, cleaning supplies and food. If you are interested in attending one of the monthly volunteer training classes, please call 330-602-6100, ext. 102. One last “thank you” goes to the Sisters of Charity Foundation in Canton for a generous grant and helpful advice. We appreciate your support! Thanks again to all our supporters!
