On Oct. 6, I had the privilege of watching Wayne County Municipal Court judge candidates Dave Todaro and Judge Carol White Millhoan give their presentations to the Orrville Exchange Club. During the presentations the issue of trial experience was addressed. Dave Todaro described his trial experience which includes jury trials involving criminal, wrongful death and serious injury cases. Judge Carol White Millhoan represented herself as an experienced trial attorney, to quote “I’ve tried many jury trials” certainly an important qualification for the position of judge. As a result of her claim, several attempts to verify this information have taken place. To date not a single jury trial can be verified for Judge Carol White Millhoan while practicing as an attorney. As a concerned citizen I believe the position of judge requires true and factual information interpreted with honesty and integrity to best represent the position and community. I believe the qualifications for the position must also be true and factual to elect the best candidate. We are still waiting for the case names and case numbers from Judge Carol White Millhoan to substantiate her claim that she tried many jury trials. Please join me Nov. 8, in supporting David Todaro to be our next municipal judge. Josephine (Jo) Howey Wooster
