Visit downtown Millersburg August 7, for the fifth year of Antiques in the Alley, an outdoor antique show that also features crafters and demonstrations. It’s a unique way to shop downtown Millersburg, as well as shop the alleys of Millersburg filled with Antique Vendors, shop the nine antique and accent shops, enjoy the historic hotel, Victorian House, Millersburg Glass Museum and accent shops. This is the only time of the year shoppers can go in the back door and out the front door (or vice versa). All of the stores in downtown Millersburg are participating in this annual event. Great sales and events are located throughout the three-block historic village. The courthouse lawn will house a tent full of crafters and crafters, demonstrations, a chicken barbecue sponsored by the Boy Scouts, and fair style food vendors. Shop along the alleys, the sidewalks and on the courthouse lawn. Shop for antiques, collectibles, garden accents, salvage style antiques, quilts, furniture, primitives, hunting and fishing collectibles and more. Demonstrations of pottery making will be on the courthouse lawn by Menuez Mudd, soap making demonstrations will be located across the street from the courthouse at Amish Essentials and rug making and use of looms will be demonstrations at Antique Emporium two blocks west of the courthouse. Come and enjoy a chicken barbecue dinner, fair style sausage sandwich, fair fries and kettle corn. Sit at the tables around town and enjoy a quieter way of life. All of the stores in Millersburg invite visitors to step back into time and enjoy a slower paced of life. Activities are planned from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine. Come a day earlier and enjoy First Friday in downtown Millersburg, special sales, demonstrations and classes throughout Millersburg all day long. Stay overnight in one of the local lodgings, including Hotel Millersburg, Comfort Inn of Millersburg or Hilltop Manor. Antiques in the Alley is sponsored by Historic Downtown Millersburg and Starlight Antiques, with support from the village of Millersburg.
