Cleveland Road Animal Hospital breaks ground for new facility
Residents of Wooster and surrounding communities will soon have a new Cleveland Road Animal Hospital (CRAH) and The Pet Hotel to take their pets for a host of existing and expanded services. Ground was broken in August for a new 14,185-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility on the existing site of the Cleveland Road Animal Hospital at 2752 Cleveland Road.
In August 2011, CRAHs neighbor, The Kaffee Haus Restaurant, closed its doors and the property was purchased by Dr. Chad and Dr. Stephanie Bailey. The Kaffee Haus was subsequently demolished to make way for the construction of a new veterinarian facility.
After surveying regular clients of the hospital, it became clear that many of their clients wanted improved boarding, grooming, outdoor exercise area, and day care facilities. In addition to these services, the building will feature The Pet Hotel, after-hours emergency services and a drive-thru window for picking up pharmacy prescriptions and veterinary diets.
While expanding our existing physical facility has been needed for quite some time, we are very excited to put our clients feedback into our plans for the future, stated Dr. Chad Bailey.
The architectural firm of John Copich and Associates of Youngstown was given the task of designing the new structure, which will have amenities that will make it more accessible to those with disabilities.
Campbell Construction Inc., of Wooster, was selected to construct the facility. We are excited to be chosen as the general contractor for this project and look forward to its completion in the spring of 2013, commented John Campbell, president of Campbell Construction Inc.
The doctors and staff are very excited for the future of our hospital in the coming years. A new facility will help to keep our cost of care as low as possible and ensure that we live up to our promise of The best care for your best friend, commented Dr. Stephanie Bailey.
