Dover library to host poetry night
The Friends of the Dover Public Library will host its annual poetry night at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 28 in the community room of the Dover Public Library, 525 N. Walnut St. Members of the community are invited to read their original work or favorites from other poets.
"The Friends of the Library poetry night is a wonderful way to celebrate National Poetry Month," Friends of the Library board member Gretchen VanSickle said. "National Poetry Month is the largest literary celebration in the world with millions of poets, readers, teachers, librarians and poetry lovers celebrating and recognizing the importance of poetry in our culture and in our lives."
Anyone interested in reading poetry at the event should call the Dover Public Library at 330-343-6123.
