The Ohio Swiss Cheese Association, Inc. announces the final of three contests held during the 2011 to determine the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion cheesemakers for the year of 2011.
The 2011 Grand Champion titles goes to Guggisberg Cheese, with Reserve Championship going to Pearl Valley Cheese.
Judges for the contest were Bill Yaggi, cheese buyer; Paul Mueller and Mickey Schmid, former cheesemakers.
Other cheese entered was from John Fankhauser and Chad Schindler of Broad Run Cheese. All cheese was judged at Grade A.
