Gerber appointed secretary of state group
It didn’t take long for Tiffany Gerber to make an impact and become comfortable in her role as the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau executive director, and evidently the Ohio Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus found something it liked in Gerber.
Recently, the OACVB held its annual President’s Luncheon in Columbus, and among its appointees to serve on the 2022 officer’s list was Gerber.
At the luncheon Ohio Department of Development director Lydia Mihalik was presented the OACVB Susan L. Hamo Friend of the Industry Award by OACVB executive director Andy Herf. Mihalik received the award for her support of the tourism industry in Ohio.
Immediately following the luncheon, the 2022 OACVB officers were elected and sworn in at the board meeting. Officers for 2022 are as follows: President Debbie Robinson, Cambridge/Guernsey County CVB; Vice President Allyson Bussey, Visit Canton; treasurer Jeff Blom, Clermont County CVB; and secretary Tiffany Gerber, Holmes County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau. Past President Larry Fletcher, Ohio’s Lake Erie Shores & Islands, did the swearing in.
“It’s a pleasure to serve our industry in this capacity,” Gerber said of receiving the appointment. “OACVB represents a voice for all destination marketing organizations in Ohio and provides an important opportunity for directors to network, participate in mentoring, be aware of legislative issues, and to build and enhance relationships with elected officials and state agencies.”
Gerber brings nearly 30 years of experience in Ohio tourism to the role with the last two years as executive director in Holmes County.
OACVB is a statewide organization serving CVBs throughout Ohio, helping them to maximize the economic impact of tourism via effective communication, cooperative marketing, industry education, legislative awareness, issue management, trend identification and professional development.
