The Huff Run Watershed Restoration Partnership and Rural Action will hold its summer community meeting on Monday, July 16 from 6-7 p.m. at the Fry Family Park. The meeting will include information about their local watershed and updates on projects and events administered by the Middle Tuscarawas Watershed office.

The first half of the meeting will discuss current and completed projects in the Huff Run Watershed in addition to upcoming events. For the second half of the meeting, a guest speaker, Sarah Buell, will discuss the future plans for Fry Family Park. Buell is the projects and administration manager for the Stark County Park District.

“The Huff Run Watershed flows between Tuscarawas and Carroll counties but is very close by to Stark County too,” said Erin Valek, AmeriCorps member with Rural Action. “The Fry Family Park is adjacent to the Nimishillen Creek and has great potential for watershed benefits. This meeting and presentation will be a perfect chance to hear about the area and what is upcoming at this area situated in the tri-county corner.”

Fry Family Park is located at 2533 Farber St. SE in Magnolia.
