YMCA welcomes new board members
The Tuscarawas County YMCA held elections for its board of directors Aug. 13-19. Elections are held each year with voting open to any adult member of the Tuscarawas County YMCA in good standing. Board members are elected for a three-year term, which begins in September.
The YMCA announced Fran Brogan of Dover, Perci Garner III of Dover and Amy Smith of Canton were re-elected to second terms. Jeff Bray of New Philadelphia, Scott Heil of New Philadelphia and Pete Kandis of Magnolia were all elected to a first term on the board.

We are excited to bring on our new board members who will bring diverse expertise and innovative thinking to help us reach new heights as we continue to serve our community in the years to come,” said Meagan Shaheen, CEO of the Tuscarawas County YMCA.
The Tuscarawas County YMCA Board of Directors is made up of YMCA members and community leaders who work to support the Y’s mission of enriching the lives of everyone in the community by the development of healthy spirit, mind and body through membership services and programs based on Christian principles and values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
