Clara Beachy obituary

Clara Beachy, 97, died Jan. 15, 2010, at her home, following an extended illness. Clara was born Nov. 15, 1912, to the late Abe C. and Katie Schrock. Having done taxi work for 35 years, Clara and her husband, Roy, were well known in the community. She was a member of Bethel Fellowship Church. Surviving are a son, Leroy (Mary Jane) Beachy of Berlin; daughter, Esther Beachy of Sarasota, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and nine stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy J. Beachy; three brothers; and two sisters. Services were held Jan. 17, 2010, at Bethel Fellowship Church, with Bishop Bill Mullet officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg. Family requests donations be made to Hospice.
