DAVID M. RENNELS JR.

                        

David M. Rennels Jr., of Hartville, died on Oct. 17, 2021, as a result of MDS blood cancer.

Born June 3,1948, in Alliance, to D. M. Rennels and Elizabeth H. Rennels, he graduated from Alliance High School and Wittenberg University. David spent his entire career within the Bemis Corporation’s MACtac self adhesives business. He held positions in sales, marketing, and management.

David was active within the Hartville community. He was a long-time member of Hartville Lions where he was selected for the Melvin E. Jones service and humanitarian award, as well as the Knights of the Blind distinction. He also was a volunteer docent at the Stewart Mansion at Quail Hollow Park.

David was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Judy Tolerton.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Susan Ladd Rennels; his son and wife, David M. and Jill Rennels III, and their children, Chloe and Jack of Wadsworth; and his daughter and husband, Katherine R. and Jay Mann and their children, Madysen and Tyson of Ooltewah, Tennessee.

Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 4-7 p.m., at Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m., at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Uniontown, with Fr. John Zapp celebrant. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery. A reception will follow. Memorials may be made to the Wittenberg Fund, P.O. Box 720, Springfield, Ohio 45501-0720.
