James Fair obituary

                        
James Robert Fair, 79, of Millersburg, died Feb. 8, 2010, from complications of a stroke. James was born Nov. 15, 1930, in Millersburg, to the late Stuart and Ida Fair. He graduated in 1955 from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He retired from his dental practice after 41 years and had served with the U.S. Army from 1955-57. He loved hunting, working in his garden, and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Mary Jane Fair, whom he married in 1958; daughters, Sharon (Jim) Proper of Danville, Beverly Fair of Columbus, Nancy Fair of San Diego, Calif., and Linda (Mike) Lee of New Albany; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Esther (Don) Cleckner of Hampton, Va.; sisters-in-law, Lois Clark of Berlin, and Heidi Clark and Myrna Clark, both of Millersburg; brothers-in-law, John (Pat) Clark of Millersburg, Gerald Clark of Orrville, and Carl (Judy) Clark and Dan Allison, both of Millersburg; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jacob Fair. Services were held Feb. 12, 2010, at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with Rev. Tom Jones officiating. Graveside services were in Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg.
