Ohio Plein Air Society visits Zoar, June 11

                        
The Ohio Plein Air Society will arrive in Zoar for a “Paint Out” this Saturday, June 11. The passion for outdoor painting is alive and well in Zoar. Zoar Village is proud to host the Ohio Plein Air Society this Saturday, June 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Ohio Plein Air Society is a not-for-profit organization of artists and patrons. Sharing a common love of art and nature, coming together to paint in the outdoors. Their admiration for the natural world gives them reason to explore the diversity and uniqueness of Ohio’s landscapes. Artist will be scattered throughout the historic village of Zoar to choose and paint their favorite subject. The Ohio Plein Air Society was previously chosen to paint each of Ohio’s 88 unique counties, each with its own stories and histories, many of which have been beautifully captured and retold in 88 original oil paintings, in the book The Land We Call Ohio, created to celebrate Ohio’s bicentennial and help support the Ohio Historical Society. Plan to visit Zoar, browse through the village and watch the artists paint. Join in for light refreshments in the garden house during the critiques of the artists’ work.
