Gymnastics team competes in NEO YMCA league meet
Level 3 gymnasts included Elizabeth Brantley, front row, Ari Burcher, Norah Russell, Skyler Kellerman; back row, Alaysia Garner, Aaliyah Garner, Everleigh Cowan, Alyse Mello, Teagan McDonald, Peyton Lewis, Ally Kerns and Jordynn Roden.
The Tuscarawas County YMCA compulsory and Xcel Gold gymnastics team traveled to North Canton on Nov. 11 and 12 to participate in a regular-season NEO YMCA league meet. Five teams attending the competition were Cambridge, North Canton, Riverfront, Wayne County and Tuscarawas County. Gymnasts were grouped in levels and then age groups to vie for the top six places in each event.
Top all-around girls from Tuscarawas County were Kendall Geers (Xcel Gold) with 35.2 points, Lily Endlich (Xcel Gold) with 34.9 and Skyler Kellerman with 34.8.
Local gymnasts scoring a 9.0 or higher were Kendall Geers on beam and floor, Lily Endlich on beam and floor, Skyler Kellerman on floor, Elizabeth Brantley on floor, Lucy Miller on floor, Aria Sanner on floor and Gracyn Beaber on floor.
First-place winners were Kendall Geers on beam and all around, Lucy Miller on floor, Lily Endlich on bars, and Skyler Kellerman on floor.
Individuals awarded ribbons for the top six places were as follows:
Excel Gold
—Kendall Geers: first on beam and all around, second on vault, fourth on bars and floor.
—Lily Endlich: first on bars; second on beam, floor and all around; and fourth on vault.
—Lucy Miller: first on floor and fifth on bars.
—Aria Sanner: third on bars and floor.
—Gracyn Beaber: second on floor.
—Penelope Endlich: third on beam.
Level 4
—Kinley Reichman: second on vault.
—Ellie Horger: fourth on vault.
—Arli Waller: fifth on beam.
Level 3
—Skyler Kellerman: firth on floor, second all around, third on beam, and fourth on bars and vault.
—Alyse Mellow: second on beam, fourth on floor, fifth on vault and sixth all around.
—Elizabeth Brantley: third on floor, fifth all around, and sixth on bars and beam.
—Ari Burcher: sixth on floor and all around.
—Ally Kerns: sixth on floor.
—Alaysia Garner: sixth on vault.
