Holmes County Little League umpire clinic set for March 20

Holmes County Little League is sponsoring an umpire clinic on Saturday, March 20, from 1-3 p.m. at the Millersburg firehouse. The league is encouraging all Holmes County youths and adults who are interested in umpiring to attend this clinic. West Holmes football meeting

There will be a West Holmes football meeting Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 6:30 p.m., in the theater at West Holmes Middle School. This meeting will be for all players and parents of students entering grades 9-12 next year that are interested in playing football at the high school. Coach Kevin Maltarich will be going over information with players and parents at this meeting.

Seventh-grade girls romp

The West Holmes seventh-grade girls took all question out of the contest with a 29-0 first-quarter run en route to a 79-6 triumph in tournament action Thursday, Feb. 11, at Orrville. Alex Brown pumped in 14 points, Alex Starr added 13 and Carie Fair 11 to lead the Lady Knights’ offensive charge. The win improved West Holmes’ record to 15-0 on the season.
