In 2024 older adults lost $538 million to investment scams, according to the FTC. It is crucial to empower seniors, along with their friends and family, by educating them about elder fraud schemes to protect their money.

The team at Star Strategies will host a Financial Elder Fraud Workshop March 28 at 2 p.m. at the Greystone Event Center, 50 Riffel Road, Wooster. The event will feature special agents from the FBI Cleveland Division who will share information about the latest scams targeting senior citizens in Ohio and across the country.

Attendees to the workshop will do the following:

—Gain an understanding of the impact of financial scams on older adults across the country.

—Discover how scams have evolved, becoming increasingly sophisticated and leading to greater financial losses.

—Explore practical strategies everyone can implement to protect themselves from financial scams.

To RSVP, call 330-345-5207 or register online at www.StarStrategies.com.
