The Historic Downtown Millersburg Girls’ Night Out event is, well, a girl thing. Visitors to downtown Millersburg on Saturday, Feb. 23 between the hours of 4-8 p.m. should be prepared to be pampered in the best way as merchants roll out the red carpet and pull out all the stops to create an atmosphere that celebrates all things girly.

Buy your punch card for just $5 at The Hotel Millersburg between now and Feb. 23 at 3 p.m. After 3 p.m. punch cards will be available only at Olde World Bistro. Everyone who visits at least 12 of the participating stores will be eligible for a chance to win one of two Coach purses or a variety of gift cards from area merchants.

February in Ohio means it is dark when you wake up and dark when you get home from work. It’s time for something fun, something unique, something designed especially for women. It’s time for Girls’ Night Out.

The event is a huge draw for women from Holmes and Wayne counties and beyond who want to enjoy time well spent in the company of friends and family.

Now in its 15th year, Girls’ Night Out is a Millersburg tradition. “It was happening before we formed Historic Downtown Millersburg in 2009,” said Judy Lamp, the organization’s executive director. “You’ve got cabin fever. You’ve got the winter blahs. We always say it’s pampering in the middle of winter to get you through to spring.”

Having an event like this in the midst of the Ohio winters means never knowing quite what to expect weather-wise. “One year we were sitting outside on the patio at the hotel,” Lamp said. “The next year it was a level-two snow emergency.”

Olde World Bistro is offering guests live entertainment with dinner and drink specials for the ladies.

The Jewelry Store welcomes Millersburg salon, S & S Main Attraction, back for its popular complimentary paraffin hand treatments. Visitors are encouraged to spin the wheel for a chance at fun prizes. All fashion jewelry including necklace and earring sets and bracelets are marked down by 25 percent.

The Jenny Wren is taking advantage of Girls’ Night Out to celebrate its grand reopening with a variety of new products and the chance to win two $50 gift cards.

Hotel Millersburg, Comfort Inn of Millersburg, Holiday Inn Express and Hilltop Manor have special discounted rates for their overnight guests attending Girls’ Night Out.
