WHRC welcomes Parkhill as director of nursing
Walnut Hills Retirement Community recently announced the appointment of Kirsten Parkhill, RN, as its new director of nursing.
Parkhill brings over seven years of nursing experience including leadership roles in long-term care as assistant director of nursing and MDS coordinator. She also has hospital experience in intensive care, cardiac and oncology units. She holds an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Central Ohio Technical College.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kirsten to the Walnut Hills leadership team,” said Charity Yoder, vice president of operations. “Her clinical experience, steady leadership, and deep compassion for residents and team members make her a strong fit for this role and for our mission.”
Parkhill’s approach to nursing is rooted in her faith and belief that caregiving is a calling. She is committed to creating a supportive environment for residents, families and staff alike.
“Nursing is more than a career for me — it’s a calling,” Parkhill said. “I’m honored to serve in a community where faith, purpose and compassion are part of everyday life, and I look forward to working alongside the dedicated team at Walnut Hills.”
