Susan Scheetz of Wilmot specializes in personalized art and shared her talent with the Tuscarawas County Art Guild at its March meeting. She was a grade school teacher for many years. She incorporates Zentangle, art created from a collection of patterns not meant to represent any one particular thing, in her note cards, T-shirts, holiday cards and tote bags.

The guild has a fine art show scheduled for Friday, April 13 and Saturday, April 14 near the Food Court at New Towne Mall.

Rick Arredondo, from the Ezekiel Project in New Philadelphia, has invited the Art Guild to participate in a new event titled "Art on the Alley," which is scheduled for May 6 from 12:30-7:30 p.m., along with other downtown businesses.

Art scholarship forms for the guild's 2018 Art Scholarship Award of $750 have been distributed to all the high schools in Tuscarawas County including Buckeye Career Center. Completed application forms including all three references must be postmarked by the April 2 deadline to be considered.

Forms also are available on the guild's website at www.tuscarawascountyartguild.com.
