The November meeting of the Lakeville Lakers 4-H Club was called to order by President Cole Porter, with pledges being led by Porter and Carson Horn.

Secretary Julia Sprang took roll call by way of answering the question, “What did you enjoy most about last year’s fair, or what are you most looking forward to for next year?” The group moved on to an icebreaker activity, approval of the treasurer’s report and old business.

Among old business, adviser Sabrina Yoder announced the club fair booth won the 2023 People’s Choice Award while Julia Sprang was awarded for Outstanding Secretary Book. New business was then discussed, with Horn making a motion to display a club booth at the 2024 Holmes County Fair. The motion was seconded by Koen Bridenthal and passed at a vote.

Club dues and requirements and exhibitor responsibilities were discussed, and plans for officer elections at the next meeting were noted. Horn moved to adjourn, seconded by Bridenthal. Snacks and refreshments followed adjournment with highlights of the next club meeting happening Sunday, Feb. 18.
