New Philadelphia VFW Post 1445 met on June 15
The next New Philadelphia VFW Post 1445 meeting will be July 20 at 6:15 p.m.
The New Philadelphia VFW Post 1445 met June 15. President Mary Savoie called the meeting to order with eight members present. A motion was made by Judy Martin and seconded by Bonnie Blacka to accept new members, Donna Fox and Linda Chadwhick, into the auxiliary.
A thank-you card from Community Hospice for the $100 donation and a thank-you card from St. Joseph Church in memory of Rose Voelm Holder were received. Sympathy cards were sent to Jill Martinelli, Shirley Williamson and Sandra Engler, whose relatives passed recently.
A motion was made by Blacka and seconded by Nancy Stevenson to give The Veterans Food Pantry $200. A third motion was made by Blacka and seconded by JoAnn Marza to give President Mary Savoie $200 to cover expenses for state convention.
The door prize was won by Ethel Quillen.
The next meeting will be July 20 at 6:15 p.m. Pizza will be served.
