On July 13, TOPS OH#1573 Nashville opened with pledges. Leo Tope was best weekly loser, putting him in new weight loss for the year. He said to eat smaller portions. Lana Rush was best weekly KOPS.

Rush gave a program titled Magnesium: 1 Mineral With Many, Many Responsibilities by Bobbie Randall. Magnesium is frequently overlooked as an important nutrient in the body. It regulates the function of hundreds of enzymes, helps build proteins and is a partner to calcium. Magnesium glycinate supplement daily can help control blood sugars. Magnesium is found naturally in nuts, seeds, whole grains, beans, leafy vegetables, milk, yogurt and dark chocolate.

TOPS will meet Thursday during July and Aug. 2 at the Nashville Global Methodist Church at 5:30 p.m. with weigh-in at 5 p.m. Call 234-301-2110 or 330-600-2649.
