Adult program offers free manufacturing credential
Aspire at Wayne County Schools Career Center offers adult students a Certified Manufacturing Associate credential at no cost. This course is open to adults with a desire to build a foundation of knowledge for a career in manufacturing.
Content will include introductions to additive manufacturing, blueprint reading, CNC, lean processes, math fundamentals, measurement and inspection, quality, robotics, and safety and troubleshooting.
Adults enrolling in this free course will have the opportunity to improve basic math skills while learning about the manufacturing industry. This course has no prerequisites or minimum education requirements before enrollment.
Registration is now open for the first cohort. Classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at WCSCC from Oct. 2 through Dec. 13. Call 330-669-7070 to reserve a spot.
