BPA students prepare for state

A number of Buckeye Career Center Business Professionals of America members placed at regionals on Jan. 19 at Kent State University at Tuscarawas. The below students qualified for state and will compete at the BPA State Leadership Conference on March 28.

BCC computer technology/network systems students:

First place Garret Burrows (Conotton Valley) and second place Cody Waldren (New Philadelphia) in computer network technology; first place Chris Blair (Strasburg) and second place Austin Ankrom (Garaway) in PC servicing and troubleshooting; first place William Abel (Dover) and second place Robert Dotson (Garaway) in computer security; first place Tristen Steinbach (Indian Valley) and second place Brandon Graybill (Strasburg) in system administration with Cisco; first place Devin Gordon (Garaway) and second place Alex Mann (Claymont) in network administration with Microsoft; and Aaron Albaugh (New Philadelphia), Zane Robertson (New Philadelphia) and Sydney Sinkovich (New Philadelphia) in network design team.

The following Buckeye Business Academy East Holmes campus students qualified for state:

Second place Grace Miller in fundamental Word processing; first place Karlin Yoder in entrepreneurship; first place Abe Hershberger, Caleb Miller, Chris Miller and Josiah Miller in small business management team; first place Emily Schlabach in human resources concepts; first place Josh Garber, Thomas Troyer, Micah Troyer, Kerri Miller, Mary Beth Mullet, Anson Miller and Joshua Yoder in parliamentary procedure team; and first place Morgan McMillen, Annie Shetler, Erin Weaver and Amber Yoder in financial analyst team. The team qualified but has chosen to compete at state.

The following Garaway satellite business management students also qualified for state:

Fourth place Lindsey Goehring in fundamental accounting, first place Peyton Miller and second place Karson Schrock in payroll accounting, first place Bethany Rider in banking and finance, and first place Ian Scott and third place Madison Chapman in personal financial management.
