Engineering program offered
Kent State University at Tuscarawas will host Introducing Women in Engineering for high school girls on Friday, Oct. 13 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Founders Hall. This is a free event.
The engineering technology department is dedicated to promoting girls in STEM careers. Students will learn about alternative energy, robotics, 3-D modeling and microcontrollers.
Lunch with an engineer from Intel is included.
Registration is required by Friday, Sept. 22.
The event is sponsored by the Kent State Tuscarawas Diversity Advisory Committee.
