West Holmes BOE approves hiring of girls soccer coach
The West Holmes Local Schools Board of Education met Monday, March 18 at Nashville Elementary for a regular meeting.
The board did the following during the meeting:
—Approved participating in the MEC Purchasing Consortium and the State of Ohio Cooperative Purchasing Program.
—Approved a resolution accepting the rates as set forth by the county auditor.
—Approved the hirings of Madison Chanay, cook, effective Feb. 20, and Sylvia Barnett, bus driver, effective March 15.
—Approved the retirements of Steven Frank, teacher, effective May 29; Jeff Woods, principal, effective June 15; Rob Moser, technology, effective May 31; Ann Mast, teacher, effective May 24; Donald Hughes, teacher, effective June 1; and Robin Gray, cook, effective May 31.
—Approved the resignations of Ben Thomas, bus driver, effective Feb. 16; Megan Stryker, teacher, effective May 31; Kelsey Kenney, teacher, effective March 10; and Rebecca Ryan, cook, effective March 12.
—Approved a supplemental contract for Bruce Murphy, girls head soccer coach.
Other information
Nashville and Lakeville elementary schools thanked St. John Lutheran Church for its donations of hats, gloves and socks.
Millersburg Elementary thanked the Millersburg Lions Club for its donation of a communication device with software and accessories for a student with special needs at its school.
The next board meeting is scheduled for April 15 at West Holmes Middle School.
