Bachman to run in primary

Doug Bachman has filed petitions to run for Tuscarawas County engineer in the Democratic primary in March 2024.
Bachman, who has been serving as the Tuscarawas County engineer since his appointment to that position in early October, received his engineering degree from Carnegie Mellon University and completed his coursework for surveying licensure at the University of Akron. He is a graduate of Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School.
Since being appointed to the position, Bachman has been familiarizing himself with the county projects and is working to obtain federal and state funding for projects throughout the county.
“My first two months have been busy getting to know the personnel, getting familiar with the office and county procedures, and planning for the upcoming year. I am looking forward to meeting more people as I continue to serve the citizens of Tuscarawas County,” Bachman said.
Bachman and his wife Jane have two children: Bruce and Margaret. Bachman resides in New Philadelphia.
