Community Mental Healthcare has hired Kristen Keyser, certified nurse practitioner, as the agency’s COVID-19 response coordinator.

Keyser will be based at Community Family Health Center, a program of CMH. In this role she will coordinate the agency’s internal and external COVID-19 response plans, enhance the availability of testing and vaccination, and provide follow-up primary care and care coordination for designated individuals. She also will collaborate with local businesses, healthcare providers and community leaders to set up mobile testing sites throughout Tuscarawas and Carroll counties.

Keyser joins CMH with more than 20 years of nursing experience, most recently working at Mercy Professional Care Corp. in Carrollton. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Malone University. She resides in Carrollton with her husband, Kevin, two daughters and two stepdaughters.

Antibody and nasal swap tests for COVID-19 are available at the health center. The antibody test consists of a blood draw that detects three main antibodies associated with the virus in the blood. A positive result indicates exposure to the virus and that an individual’s immune system has responded to the infection. The nasal swab test determines if someone has an active viral infection.

The tests are available to everyone, and results are usually available within 24-48 hours. For more information or to make an appointment, call 330-365-1781.

Located at 204 S. Bellevue Ave. in Dover, the health center provides primary care, dental care and medication assisted treatment.

Community Mental Healthcare and Community Family Health Center offer comprehensive, integrated and accessible healthcare services to all local residents including behavioral health, substance-abuse services, family medical and dental.

With over 50 years of service to the community, Community Mental Healthcare Inc. is headquartered at 201 Hospital Drive in Dover. CMH also has offices in New Philadelphia and Carrollton. The organization offers behavioral health, substance abuse, crisis, primary care and dental services. Community Mental Healthcare services are partially funded, in whole or in part, by the Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board of Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties and the Health Resources and Service Administration.
