Ohio’s Hospice Butterfly Release celebration is June 2
Ohio’s Hospice will hold its Celebrating Life’s Stories Butterfly Release on Sunday, June 2 at 2 p.m. at Ohio’s Hospice, 1900 Akron Road, Wooster, to honor and remember special people who have touched lives and live on in memories.
The event will be held behind the main building next to the pond. After a brief program, participants will listen to live music and release butterflies in memory of loved ones. If individuals cannot attend, butterflies can be purchased and released on their behalf.
“Releasing butterflies in honor and memory of a loved one is a visual that stays with you, for both adults and children,” said Katherine Ritchie Grant, development director. “This event supports our mission and helps the community to heal through memories of their loved ones.”
Proceeds from the event benefit Ohio’s Hospice patient care and services. Ohio’s Hospice is grateful to the community for continued support of its mission.
Registration for the butterfly release is required. The cost is $20 for each butterfly, and memory signs can be purchased for $35. The signs will be displayed at the event and can be taken home. The deadline to register is May 19. To register, visit www.OhiosHospice.org/OHLCButterfly24 or call 330-264-4899.
