YMCA elects board members
The Tuscarawas County YMCA held elections for its board of directors Aug. 15-20. Elections are held each year with voting open to any adult member of the Tuscarawas County YMCA in good standing. Board members are elected for a three-year term, which begins in September.
The YMCA announced Anjum Azhar of Dover was re-elected to a second term while Jim Wherley, Jr. of Newcomerstown, Emily Lane of Dover, Brian Marsh II of New Philadelphia and Melody Rader of Dover were all elected to a first term on the board.
“The YMCA Board of Directors has been blessed to have outstanding individuals leading the YMCA over the past 103 years. This class of board members continues the tradition of leadership and commitment to the YMCA mission,” said Keith Lands, interim CEO of the Tuscarawas County YMCA.
The Tuscarawas County YMCA Board of Directors is made up of YMCA members and community leaders who work to support the Y in its mission of enriching the lives of everyone in the community through membership services and programs based on Christian principles and values.
