CIRCLE Coalition dinner at Cornerstone

Families with school-aged children are invited to join CIRCLE Coalition for a free family dinner Feb. 25. The dinner will be held from 5:30-7 p.m., at Cornerstone Elementary School, in Wooster. There is no charge to attend but reservations are needed and can be made by calling 330-264-8498 by Feb. 23. This is the fourth dinner CIRCLE is hosting this school year. Cici’s Pizza Buffet in Wooster is sponsoring the event. The dinner is a family-strengthening event focused on the importance of spending time together at the dinner table, family communication, and making healthy choices involving alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. Research has shown that having regular family meals is a proven way for parents to help protect their children from becoming involved in substance abuse. Eating together as a family allows time to talk about each other’s day, family values including the parents’ views on substance abuse, help children figure out what interests them, and to learn about children’s friends.
