Northwest Ohio native, Burgette joins the team at East Ohio Orthopaedics
The team at East Ohio Orthopaedics in Dover has added another surgeon who concentrates on joint reconstruction and treatment of general orthopedic issues.
Dr. William C. Burgette is a native of northwest Ohio and recently completed a fellowship in total joint reconstruction at the University at Buffalo. Burgette specializes in joint reconstruction of the hip and knee, including partial, total and revision joint replacements.
I was able to be trained in the most updated minimally invasive procedures to help speed recovery and return patients to their normal daily activities quickly, Burgette said. I am eager to work with patients in the area and to offer them options that can improve their quality of life.
Burgette earned his medical degree at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and his bachelors degree at Bowling Green State University. He completed his residency at the Cleveland Clinics South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights.
Burgette, who grew up in Willard, said he feels right at home in Tuscarawas County.
Im from a smaller community in Ohio, so this is very comfortable for me, he said. Attending my sons Little League games and being a part of the community where I am working is very important.
Burgette and his wife, Lindsay, a Tuscarawas County native, reside in New Philadelphia with their 5-month-old son, Colin.
He is accepting new patients at East Ohio Orthopaedics located inside The Heritage Square Plaza at 515 Union Ave., Suite 167. The telephone number is 330-343-3335. East Ohio Orthopaedics is an affiliate of Union Hospital.
