Union Hospital and its hospital-owned medical provider network, Union Physician Services, will improve health care access and basic services for many of its patients when it opens UPS Family Health Center North in Dover on Jan. 10. The new office, which will consolidate several providers in one convenient location, is located in North Dover at 110 Dublin Drive, just off North Wooster Avenue and directly across from the Buehler’s Fresh Foods grocery store. Expanded hours will be offered at the new location Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be an on-site lab, space for health seminars and meetings, improved patient exam rooms and much more. UPS providers who will see patients in the new UPS Family Health Center North are Dr. John Burnham, Dr. Kristi Leindecker, Dr. Deepthi Singam and certified nurse practitioners Sandra Agnes and Kerri Pearch. The offices where these providers currently work from in Dover will be closed, and their staffs and operations will be relocated to the new location. The UPS Family Health Center North also will offer the services of licensed social worker Teri Carpenter. Patients of both practices are being contacted by letter to inform them of the changes, and patients with upcoming appointments are being contacted to remind them of the new location. “Because of their dedication to their patients and our community, Dr. Leindecker and Dr. Burnham were actively involved with the planning of many of the details of this building with the overall goal of improving the patient experience,” said Kevin Milligan, director of UPS, which now has nearly 30 providers located around Tuscarawas County. “That starts with the large parking lot, to the design of the lobby and patient registration areas, and of course with the size and function of each exam room.” Patients who have questions about upcoming appointments and other items should contact the current offices until Jan. 10. After that date calls can be handled in the new location at the new telephone number of 330-364-8038. Details about UPS providers also can be found at www.upsphysicians.com.
