Save & Serve Thrift Shop raised $5,823.23 for Disaster Aid Ohio, an Amish disaster relief organization, during a benefit day held Saturday, Nov. 30.

As part of the event, 100% of store sales were contributed to Disaster Aid Ohio, a volunteer-led group dedicated to providing emergency assistance and disaster relief to communities in need.

The donation reflects Save & Serve’s ongoing commitment to support both local and global humanitarian efforts. Eric Raber, Save & Serve general manager, emphasized the role Disaster Aid Ohio plays in crisis response and the importance of the community’s involvement.

“Disaster Aid Ohio is a prime example of people coming together to help others in times of hardship,” Raber said. “We are deeply grateful for our volunteers and customers who make it possible for Save & Serve to give back in meaningful ways.”

Save & Serve’s next community benefit day will be announced soon, with 100% of sales once again supporting an organization working to make a positive impact.

Save & Serve is a nonprofit thrift store in Holmes County that supports the local and global relief, development and peace projects of the Mennonite Central Committee.
