To the Editor: The Kidron Fire Department would like to express our deep appreciation to all the members of our community that helped to make our 55th annual barbecue a success. There are so many people that donate their time and resources to help us, that we cannot list them all. However, we want everyone to know we truly appreciate their support. We also wish to thank all our customers who came out to buy chicken dinners despite a little rain late in the afternoon. Our chicken barbecue is held every year on the second Tuesday of August. It raises funds to help us operate the fire department. The money raised helps us buy new equipment, purchase supplies, and pay for training. The support we receive at the barbecue helps ensure that we will be able to continue serving the Kidron Community. Doug Reeder, Chief Kidron Fire Department
