To the Editor:
Election day this fall will be a sad day for me if my only choice is to vote for Jim Renacci (R) or John Boccieri (D) for U.S. representative.
Jim Renacci agreed to be endorsed by the Ohio Republican Party before us Republicans had a chance to vote in the primary for the nominee we wanted to support. I find the partys action of endorsing a state without awaiting the will of its members no different than John Boccieris vote for the healthcare bill contrary to the will of his constituents.
I pray for a miracle that the Republican voters will defeat Renacci in the primary by voting for Matt Miller. Matt Miller is the business administrator for the Salvation Army of Ashland. I believe America needs men and women in office who know God exists and we are accountable to him, who believes our Constitution, as written, defines what is legal and illegal, who believes the Bible defines what is right and what is wrong, who believes our country should not borrow money to pay for services we cannot pay for. I believe Matt Miller is such a man. I am a member of the advisory board of the Orrville Salvation Army Service Center. I have the highest respect for the staff of the Salvation Army and their years of worldwide ministry of service and evangelism.
