More than a Game, a charity basketball game, will be held Nov. 9 at Orrville High School’s Bob Knight Gymnasium. Tip-off will start at 6:30 p.m.

The game will feature players from the Orrville High School Athletic Department, Ida Sue School, Wayne County Special Olympics and Nick Amster Workshop. Students from Ida Sue, the Special Olympics and Nick Amster will be paired with winter sports athletes from Orrville to play in the game, consisting of two 15-minute halves, or serve as cheerleaders. The game will start with introductions of each player and cheerleader.

At halftime the winter sports teams from Orrville High School and Middle School will be introduced.

There will be a $5 admission charge and the chance to purchase an event T-shirt and food items at the concession stand. T-shirts, in sizes from adult small to XXXL, are $15. All proceeds will go to help in the construction of a new playground at Ida Sue School. Special thanks go to the Hummel Group for sponsoring the players’ shirts.
