The Buckeye Book Crawl, in partnership with Wayne County Public Library, will consist of seven author events leading up to the Buckeye Book Fair.

                        

The Buckeye Book Crawl, in partnership with Wayne County Public Library, will have seven author events leading up to the Buckeye Book Fair. The book crawl will include a panel of sports writers, a children’s book illustrator and more.

The events will begin Monday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. at Books in Stock, 140 E. Liberty St., Wooster. Author Fern Haught will sign the novel, “The Baker and the Bard,” a fantasy adventure following Juniper and Hadley.

Next, local author Dr. Jason Edwin Anderson will present a talk at the Wayne County Main Library in Wooster on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. Anderson will discuss his biography of Gen. David Wooster, exploring the Revolutionary War hero’s commitment to liberty and his impact on early American republicanism.

On Sunday, Oct. 27, bring the little ones to the Jump and Shout, 887 W. Main St., Smithville, where illustrator Barry Gott will sign his latest release, “The Tugboat and the Silver Moon.” The book is an illustrated tale of perseverance and teamwork.

On Monday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m., the Creston Branch Library, 116 S. Main St., Creston, will host Julie Ann Lindsey for a sneak peek at the fifth installment in the author’s “Christmas Tree Farms” cozy series, “I’ll Be Home for Mischief.” In the story innkeeper Holly White must solve a holiday murder mystery.

Minglewood Distilling Co., 437 E. South St., Wooster, will host a panel of authors discussing America’s sports history on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. Scott Longert, Ralph Paulk and David Lee Morgan Jr. will form the panel and share their insights.

Grigio Wine & Cocktail Bar, 211 S. Market St., Wooster, will host author Joanna Hardis on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. Hardis is the author of the guide, “Just Do Nothing.”

For those who enjoy a good mystery series, Spoon Bar & Deli in downtown Wooster will celebrate the 10th anniversary of Andrew Welsh-Huggins’ “Andy Hayes Mystery” series with the release of “Sick to Death.”

The crawl will culminate at the Buckeye Book Fair on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Greystone Event Center, 50 Riffel Road, Wooster, with more book-signings and literary discussions.
