2 candidates worthy of your attention and vote
Letter to the Editor,
Calling on voters in Wayne County to pay attention to a couple races in Wayne County. Jeffrey A. McEndree II, a resident of Marshallville, is running for clerk of courts and has an impressive resume. He joined the law firm of Hanna Rasnick Evanchan Palmisano Hobson & Fox LLC in May 2022. Prior to working in private practice, he served as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Wayne County in the Criminal Misdemeanor and Traffic Division.
He has IT experience and sees this as critical to running an efficient court system. He is running against (Scott) Wiggam, who possesses none of these skills and appears to be making various elective offices his career path in Wayne County. Jeff deserves your attention and vote.
Mark Gooch, a Wayne County resident for over 30 years, is active in local nonprofits and community issues and is running for the state office to represent Wayne County District 77. His opponent, who recently moved back to Wayne County to run for office, is funded predominantly from money outside Wayne County while Mark has funded his campaign with over 90% coming from within Wayne County. Mark has a master’s degree in library sciences and is a senior librarian at The College of Wooster. Like his father, who was a minister, Mark learned the importance of supporting his community through actions and will listen and engage with his community regardless of the position or party.
These are two quality candidates worth your sensible and practical attention to improve the court system and work toward sensible legislation.
