Mable and Rush earn weekly TOPS honors
On Nov. 13, TOPS OH1573 Nashville lost 7 ½ pounds as a group. Mable Leid was best weekly loser. She said to eat one helping of fruit each day. Lana Rush was best weekly KOPS.
Rush took information from the newspaper about how eating the correct food may prevent and/or improve Alzheimer’s disease. The Mediterranean diet is full of anti-inflammatory foods, as berries, green leafy vegetables and nuts, especially walnuts, reduce inflammation. Omega 3 in olive, flax seed and other oils also may help ward off Alzheimer’s.
The Nov. 27 meeting will be a weigh-in only. TOPS Club meets each Wednesday at the Nashville Global Methodist Church at 5:30 p.m., with weigh-in at 5 p.m. For more information call 330-465-5788 or 330-600-2649. The first meeting is free.
